Maxim Litigation Consultants respect our clients’ privacy.

We take all steps available to us to ensure that the privacy of documents and information provided to us by our clients is protected and preserved.

Maxim Litigation Consultants’ privacy policy is guided by the National Privacy Principles established pursuant to the Commonwealth Privacy Act (1988).

Collection and storage of Personal Information

When you instruct us to act, Maxim Litigation Consultants collects and stores information about you including but not limited to:

  • your name;
  • your address;
  • your contact details (including phone numbers and email contacts).

We refer to the above information as “Personal Information”.

Use, Disclosure and Destruction of Personal Information

Primarily we store and make use of your Personal Information for file management and conflict checking purposes, but we may also use your Personal Information for other purposes, upon your instructions.

We will not disclose your Personal Information unless required to do so by law or on your express instructions.

In the event Maxim Litigation Consultants provides legal services to you, we will retain your Personal Information for a period of seven years.   

Client Documents

We believe it is important to distinguish between Personal Information and client documents.

Client documents provided by you are usually returned to you at the conclusion of your matter.  In some limited circumstances, we may retain client records or documents for a period longer than seven years.

Maxim Litigation Consultants’ website does not use ‘cookies’.

Maxim Litigation Consultants reserve the right to change our Privacy Statement from time to time.  Any changes to our Privacy Statement will be published on our website.
